A man was shot and killed in Austin's fifth homicide of the year, within 12 hours of another fatal shooting in the same patrol sector.
Austin police are investigating a deadly shooting in North Austin, the second homicide in the area within 24 hours, officials said.
Two officers were hospitalized for observation and the suspect was treated on the scene for minor lacerations caused by broken glass, authorities said.
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was shot and killed in North Austin. Police say the incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Jan. 11. APD says it received a 911 call from a caller who said they heard multiple gunshots in the 9400 block of North Lamar Boulevard.
