2 stabbed on CTA Red Line platform on South Side, Chicago police say

Two people were stabbed at a CTA Red Line station Monday night, Chicago police said. The stabbing occurred at about 10:53 p.m. on the platform at the 69th Street stop in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. Police said a man and woman were arguing with a suspect who pulled out a sharp object and attacked both victims.

There, they found an unidentified 58-year-old woman unresponsive aboard the train, and she was pronounced dead shortly afterward. Police told the paper that Area 3 detectives are handling the investigation.
