LEGO just opened preorders for one of its most anticipated licensed releases ever: the L EGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set ($650). Designed for adult builders and longtime fans, this premium set brings the original Kanto starter trio to life in brick form and is already generating serious buzz among LEGO and Pokémon collectors.

Gotta build ’em all. Lego has officially stepped into the Pokémon universe, unveiling their first-ever line of buildable Pokémon sets and marking a long-anticipated crossover between two of the most powerful global play brands.

LEGO and The Pokémon Company International have unveiled the first official LEGO Pokémon sets, launching Feb. 27.

Yesterday, Pokemon revealed its long-teased first collaborations with Lego. The three main expansions focused on Pikachu, Eevee, and the three evolved forms of Gen 1's starters, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, with a fourth Kanto Gym Badges set available for free to those who purchase the most expensive item.

Lego unveiled Smart Bricks, the brand’s first foray into smart tech integration, at this year’s CES trade show. The first Smart Bricks sets are already available for pre-order and will be released in March. All three sets are Star Wars -focused and include iconic characters, vehicles, and scenes from the original trilogy.
